BA Stainless Steel Sheet

BA (Bright Annealing) is a specific surface treatment produced by cold rolled stainless steel mills, mainly for grades AISI 304 and AISI 316 up to a thickness of 3.0 mm. BA (Bright Annealed) is the abbreviation of Bright Annealed, which is produced by heat treatment in a controlled atmosphere furnace. It is a smooth, bright reflective surface with a mirror-like appearance, but may have some cloudiness and other imperfections. BA can be polished to obtain a mirror finish of class 5 (No. 8), which is brighter than BA. It is often specified for applications requiring a highly reflective finish such as building components, food processing equipment and other general applications.
