Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Sheet
Hot rolled stainless plates are used in a wide range of industries that does not require a low Ra value. With its high strength and resistance to corrosion, hot rolled stainless steel is very well suited for e.g. construction. The manufacturing process for hot-rolled stainless steel begins with a large rectangular piece of metal, which is then heated and shaped. It is then rolled through rollers at high speed, enhancing its toughness and ductility. It's also very flexible and formable, but with less precision. Steel shrinks slightly as it cools, compromising precision. Depending on the desired finish, pickling is sometimes required.
