Low Carbon Steel Sheet
Low carbon steel plates, also known as ordinary carbon steel plates and mild carbon steel plates, contain a small amount of carbon (0.05–0.25%C). It is the most common steel because it is relatively inexpensive while offering acceptable material properties for many purposes. In applications where large cross-sections are used to minimize deflection, such as in large structures, there is no risk of yield failure, so mild steel is the best choice.
