Stainless Steel 347/347H Round Bar

Both stainless steel 347/347H round bar belong to austenitic stainless thermo-strong steels. 347 is a stable austenitic chromium steel characterized by the presence of niobium, which eliminates carbide precipitation and thus intergranular corrosion. In addition, Alloy 347 is stabilized by the addition of chromium and tantalum, and it provides higher creep and stress fracture properties than Alloys 304 and 304L. 347H is based on 347 with the addition of niobium, which makes it have excellent corrosion resistance in alkali, seawater and a variety of acid solutions. Especially at high temperatures, 347H exhibits good resistance to intergranular corrosion. In addition, it also has good welding properties and thermal strength properties. Due to its presence of chromium Cr, nickel Ni and niobium Nb, 347H has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and polysulfate intergranular stress corrosion, as well as high-temperature strength and plasticity. As a result, 347H is often used in large boiler superheaters, reheaters, steam pipelines, and heat exchanger fittings in petrochemical industries.
