Z275 Galvanized Steel Coil
Galvanized steel coil Z275 is carbon steel plate galvanized on both sides. This is produced through a metal coating process that passes cold-rolled coils through baths filled with molten zinc. This continuous hot-dip galvanizing or also known as electro-galvanizing is the main process that these carbon steel sheets must go through to produce coils and galvanized sheets. The process consists of applying zinc by electrolytic treatment. After the sheet has undergone this treatment, a layer of zinc is adhered to the base metal by an iron and zinc bond coat. Galvanizing is a well-known and effective method of adding a layer of protection to bare steel from the natural elements. Not only will the zinc act as a barrier between the environment and the steel, but it will break down first to protect the steel underneath and prolong its life.
